Botany was started as Department of Natural Science in the year 1972 (Pre-University). Department of Botany was started in the Year 1985 functioning as Allied Botany for B.Sc Zoology (E/M & T/M). Allied Botany for B.Sc Chemistry T/M from the year 2015-2016. Major Botany Department was started in the academic year 2017-2018. Botany (E/M) was started in the year 2017.
